Chris and Sigrun would like to welcome you to The Jolly Tanners, they have now been in charge since November 2006. We pride ourselves in being able to provide our customers with fresh homemade food. Where possible we source our food as locally as we can. Our pies and burgers are arguably some of the best in the south of alongside our delicious food we also provide our customers with some of the best ales from around the country, our selection of fine wines is also not to be sniffed at either.
To go alongside our delicious standard menu we have an ever changing specials board which consists of fresh local food, every Friday we offer takeaway fish and chips as well as our stunning burger and chips. On Wednesdays we offer a pie or burger and a selected pint for only £13.00. Every Sunday we do freshly cooked roasts, there is a choice of three meats, we also offer free extra roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings and stuffing.
Most Saturday’s we have a band playing, so come along to sample so fantastic music.
Our beer fest is held once a year on Mayday bank holiday, during this we also provide some excellent bands to chill out to while sampling some delightful beers. The festival goes from the Friday through to the Monday
Pubs games consist of Darts every Monday, all are welcome to come along and join in. Every Wednesday is bridge night anyone is welcome from beginners to advanced players. We also have a wide variety of board games and card games available every day; these include cribbage, dominos to name a few.
We have a beautiful garden that captures the sun almost all day long, we also have a kid’s corner where the kids can go and play as much as they want, the adults can then relax and catch up with friends.
The pub is ultra dog friendly as we have 2 of our own four legged friends; there are times where the pub will be full with dogs and people.
Every Tuesday night we offer an open mic night, every Thursday night we hold a pub quiz.
The Jolly Tanners also supports 3 main charities, which are St. Catherine’s hospice, Sussex air ambulance, and the Danny Gallivan trust. During the time we have been at The Jolly Tanners we have raised thousands in support of our charities. Every November we also support the poppy appeal.
We believe pubs should have roaring fires in the winter and you should be able to make the most of our summers in our idyllic beer garden.
We hope that you’ll join us to celebrate the Great British pub the way it should be.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
