Alongside our real ales, we aim to keep you well fed with our wide range of home cooked food. In addition to our standard menu our chef is constantly updating the specials board.
THE JOLLY PIE OF THE DAY – we are becoming very well known for our selection of home made pies (ranging from chicken, ham and leek; steak and stilton; game; cottage; steak and kidney; we also sometimes have suet puddings – bacon and onion or steak and kidney).
FISH DISHES – we love selling really fresh fish with Cod, Sea Bass, Halibut, Trout and Salmon available on various days as specials. Our Luxury Fish Pie and Salmon Fish Cakes are yummy!
BURGERS and RIBEYES – we use Flanagans Butchers from Crawley Down as suppliers of all our meats. The RIBEYES in particular are to die for. We often have Lamb Shanks on, as well as a weekly ‘Curry’.
SUNDAY ROASTS – we provide traditional Sunday Roasts (a choice from Beef, Lamb, Pork, Venison or chicken) which does vary from week to week.
SIZZLING DISHES – we are very proud of our innovative ‘Sizzling’ Dishes. You can have a choice of Chicken Breast, King Prawns, Duck, Vegetarian or Steak Sizzler. All served with peppers and onions, chips or sauteed potatoes, with cheddar cheese going with the chicken and stilton served with the steak sizzler. These have all proved very popular with our customers.
Tables are available in the dining room, both bars and in our colourful pub garden (British weather permitting). Within watchful distance of the garden is a grassy play area for the children.
